Obituary of Eugenio Mendoza

Eugenio M. Mendoza,  resident of San Marcos, was received in the hands of our Heavenly Father on December 23, 2017 at the age of 71.  Born April 10, 1946 in Eagle Pass, TX.,  he was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, & friend.  

Eugenio is preceded in death by his loving parents: Benardo and Guadalupe Mendoza and sister: Maria M. Lopez.

Eugenio was a jokester. Always kidding around just to make you laugh and feel good. One of his favorite things to do was to have family outings at the property in Redwood where he would bar-b-que. Eugenio love to sing,  especially to the grandchildren, making up funny songs with their names. When relaxing, he sit and watch boxing and baseball especially the Astros when they won the World Series .   Above all  nothing meant more to him than his wife of 51 golden years: Sofia and the family, especially the grand and great grandchildren .  We thank the Lord for giving him to us for as long as we had him....."we love you!"  Your spirit and legacy will always continue through us. 

Surviving family are his loving wife of 51yrs.: Sofia M. Mendoza, son: Eugenio B. Mendoza,  daughters: Sofia and Claudia Mendoza, Adriana De La Rosa, sister: Irma R. Mendoza, 14 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and with numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.

Visitation will begin at 5:00pm-9:00pm, Thursday, December 28, 2017 with Recetation of Holy Rosary held at 7:00pm, at the Los Angeles Funeral Home ... 300 Cheatham St,.. San Marcos, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00am , Friday, December 29, 2017 at St. John Catholic Church...624 E. Hopkins.. San Marcos, Texas.  Rev. Father Jairo Lopez will officiate. ...  Memorial Services to be celebrated at a later date..
