Our beloved SPC. Phillip Cruz Medellin, age 21, resident of Prairie Lea, Texas was called by our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, November 15, 2016.
Phillip is survived by his father, Juan Medellin and wife Melissa; mother, Stephanie Cruz; brothers, PV2 John C. Medellin, Mark Anthony Medellin, Isaiah M. Medellin and Elijio J. Salazar; sisters, Theresa M. C. Medellin, Rebecca A.M. Medellin, and Ashley M. Cruz; grandparents, Frank Aguilar, Juan Cruz, Fil Cruz Jr., Flora Aguilar, Gloria Musgrove, and Orelia J. Martinez, and Special Military Brothers & Sisters; and with other loving family and friends.
Visitation will begin at 2pm – 4pm., Sunday, November 27, 2016 at Los Angeles Funeral Home, 300 Cheatham St., San Marcos, Texas. Recitation of Holy Rosary held at 7:00 p.m., St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 624 E. Hopkins St., San Marcos, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, November 28, 2016 at St. John’s Catholic Church, 624 E. Hopkins St., San Marcos, Texas. Burial will follow with Full Military Honors at San Juan Cemetery, Reedville, Texas.
