Obituary of Maria Guadalupe Mercado

Our beloved Maria “Guadalupe” Mercado, age 95, resident of Martindale was called by our Heavenly Father on Friday, June 23, 2017.

Guadalupe was preceded in death by her loving husband of 20yrs., Domingo Mercado; son in law, Joe Gonzales Sr.; parents, Nieves & Juanita Espinosa; sisters, Concepcion Espinosa, Isadora Natal, and Maria de la Rosa.

She is survived by her daughters, Terry Mercado & Tony Chavez of Staples, and Frances Gonzales of Martindale, 5 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 1 great, great grandchild and with numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 28, 2017 with Recitation of Holy Rosary held at 7:30pm, Los Angeles Funeral Home, 300 Cheatham St., San Marcos, Texas.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, June 29, 2017 at 10:00am at Immaculate Heart of Mary, 312 Lockhart St., Martindale, Texas, Interment will follow at San Juan Cemetery in Reedville, Texas.
