Obituary of Elida C. Garza

Our beloved Elida C. Garza, age 79, resident of San Marcos was called by our Heavenly Father on Sunday, July 23, 2017.

Elida was preceded in death by her loving husband of 48yrs.: Samuel Garza Sr.; son in law, Carlos Ramirez; mother, Martina Cortez Santos; brother, Conrado Cortez; sisters, Otilia Cerda, Victoria Rosales, and Maria Gonzales.

She is survived by her daughter, Janie G. Ramirez & partner, Bentura Vargas; sons, Sam Garza Jr., Benjamin & wife Delfy Garza, and Rick Garza and partner Mary Antu; sisters, Elisa Polanco, and Elidia Robles & husband Genaro; brothers, Joventino Cortez, Reyes Cortez, and Febronio Cortez; granddaughters, Valerie Garza, Veronica Flores & Marko, Vanessa Velez & Mark, and Briana Ramirez; 5 great grandchildren and with numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 26, 2017 with Recitation of Holy Rosary held at 7:00pm, Los Angeles Funeral Home, 300 Cheatham St., San Marcos, Texas.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, July 27, 2017 at 10:00am at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 624 E. Hopkins, San Marcos, Texas, Interment will follow at San Marcos City Cemetery.  

Serving as Pall Bearers: Mark Velez, Marko Flores, Eloy Robles, Meto Cortez, Joe Cortez, and Vice Costilla.

Serving as Honorary Pall Bearers: Jude Limon, Jacob Ramirez, and Markie Flores.
