Mission Funeral Home, with two locations in Austin and one is San Marcos, is now interviewing for the following positions:

Visitation Host or Hostess:  This position is on-call as visitation services are scheduled, usually with one or more days advance notice.  The primary duties of the Visitation Host is to provide excellent care to the family and attendees during the funeral visitation and/or funeral service.  The team generally consists of two or three hosts throughout the evening.  It is a courtesy position where the hosting team works to ensure that the family, attendees, and the facility are well tended to throughout the evening. At the end of the evening, the host or hostess is responsible for cleaning and securing the facility.  This position is best suited for someone with a flexible schedule as visitation and service times vary greatly.  Bi-lingual is preferred and professional dress (black suit and tie) is required.

Weekend Administration:  This position is a Saturday and/or Sunday position, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.  The weekend administration position is responsible for answering the phone, disseminating information per company training, various computer and general office work, and general facility cleaning.  This position has certain aspects that require someone highly responsible.  The position is best suited for someone seeking a generally quiet working environment, is self-disciplined in task completion, and is experienced in various computer programs and general office equipment.  Bi-lingual is preferred and professional dress is required.

Limousine and Coach Drivers:  This position is on-call as funeral services are scheduled, usually with one or more days advance notice.  The primary duties of the driver are professional driving usually within a funeral procession.  An excellent driving record is required.  Bi-lingual is preferred and professional dress (black suit and tie) is required.

Funeral Director and/or Embalmer:  This position can be on-call, part-time, or full-time.  The primary duties are those of a licensed funeral director and/or embalmer.  Texas License or the ability to reciprocate are required.  We are happy to consider present students of a Texas registered funeral director or mortuary college.  

San Marcos and Austin residents presently attending college; retired men and women who feel they would enjoy helping families, and funeral/embalmer students are encouraged to apply.
