Our beloved Nicolas "Nick" F. Lara, age 87, resident of San Marcos, Texas was called by our Heavenly Father on Monday, September 28, 2020. Nick is preceded in death by his loving wife of 54yrs.: Maria Lara; parents, Merced & Encarnacion Lara; brother, Ignacio Lara; and sister, Andrea Ovalle. He is survived by his daughters, Catalina Lara and Laura Lara; sons, Nick Lara Jr. and Merced Lara; sisters, Maria Mesa and Carmen Selvera (Alex); grandchildren, 3; great grandchildren, 3; and with numerous loving family members and friends. DUE TO COVID-19 ... CERTAIN RULES STILL APPLY ... (MASK WILL BE ENFORCED!!) Visitation will begin on Friday, October 9, 2020, 8:30am at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church ... 624 E. Hopkins ... San Marcos, Texas. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 9:00am followed by Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 10:00am. ..Rev. Father Edwin Kagoo will officiate .. Interment will follow at Memory Lawn Memorial Park in Martindale, Texas. Serving as Pall Bearers: Nick Lara Jr., Merced Lara, Ray Selvera, Richard Selvera, Bobby Pacheco, and Fernando Montelongo.
