Rosalio "Pat" Esquivel Obituary (2024)

Rosalio “Pat” Esquivel, age 65, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, June 27, 2024 he was a lifelong resident of San Marcos, Texas a devoted- beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, friend and pet parent. Pat is preceded in death by his father: Pedro G. Esquivel ; mother: Rosa Sauceda; nephews: Mark Valdez and Lance Esquivel. Pat was one of the most funniest, inviting and caring persons. He was the type to help anyone if you needed it. He was a big jokester, always made everyone smile and laugh. The moment he would walk into a room it would just light up. He had one of those big infectious personalities. In the words of one of his nephews Bobby “Pat was slick and could sell snow cones to an eskimo, fast talking, fast walking, always moving jack of all trades” End quote. He worked many years at Thermon. He really loved that job. He also volunteered at the local food bank by packing boxes and handing them out. Any extra food he would bring and share with his many dogs. As an avid animal lover his whole life he would take in strays from dogs to cats and even a raccoon once. Pat also had many hobbies over the years such as but not limited to coin collecting, Rock collecting, repairing machinery like lawn mowers etc. and as of late repairing jewelry and watches. He was also very knowledgeable in carpentry and knew how to fix anything around the house. He definitely was a jack of all trades and one of a kind. Our hearts are broken but knowing we have so many crazy, wonderful and funny memories will keep his memory alive in our hearts and keep us going. He will be deeply missed Pat will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 31yrs.: Melinda V. Esquivel; daughter: Katrina M. Esquivel (fiancé Eric Urrutia); brothers: Henry Esquivel, Asencion Esquivel (Janie) and Ray Esquivel (Sylvia); sisters: Irene Casarez, Janie Romero, Susie Chapman and Gloria Miranda; and with numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. Visitation will begin from 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m., Monday, July 8, 2023 at Los Angeles Funeral Home ... 300 Cheatham St. ... San Marcos, Texas. followed with a Prayer Service beginning at 7:00 p.m. Morning visitation will begin Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at 8:00am at Los Angeles Funeral Home followed with a Chapel Service at 11:00am. Private Memorial Services to be celebrated at a later date.
