Our beloved Wayne Lindholm, age 68, resident of Martindale, Texas was called by our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, May 3, 2022. Wayne is preceded in death by his parents, Doyle and Faye Shepherd. Wayne was born and raised in Austin, TX, and attended Lanier High School, where he became a star athlete and FFA member. He loved playing sports and even had a chance to play pro ball, but chose to raise his family instead. He became an ironworker and played a part in building up the Austin skyline and surrounding areas, including building the 360 bridge. He was proud of the work he did and retired from Local Union 482. He was a huge supporter of the UT Longhorns and an avid NASCAR fan. Wayne "Papaw" loved hanging out and having fun with friends and family, and would always try to be there for you. He was always willing to lend a helping hand, or a laugh. His favorite people in his life were his grandkids. He loved cheering them on at their games and being the loudest in the stands, helping them with their animals, showing them how to build or to fix things with "duct tape and screws", how to perfectly take care of the yard, and how to eat more sweets than should be possible. He lived a full life. He is survived by his daughter, Haven Lindholm; sons, Robert Lindholm (Kerrie), Doyle Keith Lindholm (Ashley), and Jeremy (Ace);sisters, Patricia Morgan (Dennis) and Tracy Shepherd; the kids mothers, Laurie Lindholm and Belinda Boone; and many other family members and friends. He loved and is well loved by his granchildren, Kyliegh, Cody, Ashley, Lane, Luke, Hailey, Bonnie and Skye. Heavenly father, we thank you for our time that you gave us with Wayne. We pray that he is at peace in your arms and his memory and love will always be in our hearts. A Memorial Celebration will be held at a later date. Please visit losangelesfh.com to offer condolences.
