Obituary of Michael Anthony Castillo

Please share a memory of Michael to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Our beloved Michael Anthony Castillo, age 48, resident of Kyle was called by our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, March 14, 2018.

He is preceded in death by his loving grandparents Julian & Margarita Castillo.

Anthony had many chapters in his life, but the most important things was that he was a caring, loving, and kind-hearted man.  He loved unconditionally and would do anything for anyone.  There was not a person he didn’t know, because he talked to everyone. At times, he worked at the Los Angeles Funeral Home where they nicknamed him “Tony ” as in Tony the Tiger because Anthony was always “Grrrrr e a t!” with the families he served. A big kid at heart especially around Halloween, Anthony would dress himself scary around the house when delivering the chocolate goods to the children in the neighborhood.   Watching the Cowboys and Spurs, with a cold brew, was his ritual pleasure … always a supporter. The most important time in his life was his family … his children, grandchildren, mother, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews cousins, friends, and most of all, his beautiful wife, Dolores. Whether traveling to Vegas, spending time on the coast, or just a bar-b-que around the house, this was their special time and joy. “We will miss him” does not say enough, so, when the sun is out, you will feel his warmth, when there’s a breeze, you’ll feel his presents, and when you close your eyes, you’ll see his face knowing  that he stands in the presence of God.

He is survived by his loving wife of 16yrs., Dolores Castillo; daughters, Angelica Flores, Lisa Chagoya, Amanda Villanueva, and Valerie Villanueva; son, Fabian Villanueva; father, Paul Oballe; mother, Martha Castillo-Ashford; brothers, John Ashford, and Arthur Ashford; sisters, Angela Ashford, Brenda Whitehead, Latasha Ashford, Jeanette Ashford, Jamica Kimbro, Tiffany Ashford, Ashley Ashford, and Yolanda Ashford; grandchildren, Jakob Torres, and Kaleb Villanueva; and with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and other loving family and friends.
