Obituary of Pedro Delgado

Our beloved Pedro Delgado, age 82, resident of San Marcos was called by our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, August 28, 2018.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Vicente Sr. & Cruz Delgado; brothers, Vicente Delgado Jr., and Martin Delgado; and sister, Alvina Perales.

Pedro was a kind, loving, and hardworking man who emphasized the importance of hard work & family.  He was a carpenter for 50 years and built his home from ground up for him and his family.  He loved unconditionally and would do anything for anyone.  His favorite pastime was kicking back and watching baseball.   Never forgetting the blessings of our Lord, He loved to talk to people about God and he & his loving wife Amelia would take communion to the elderly and sick.  Pedro was a devoted parishioner of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, would drive his grandchildren to catechism.  He had a sense of humor. There are a lot of things we could say about our father, Pedro, But, nothing meant more to him than his family, especially his wife Amelia of 61 years whom he cherished, daughters, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren.  We thank Lord for giving him to us for as long as we had him … “we love you!”  Your spirit lives with us and you will be missed dearly.

His life continues through his loving wife of 61yrs., Amelia Delgado; daughters, Irene Siendenberg and husband Steve, Vera De Leon and husband Robert, Lucy Barrientes and husband David, Esmeralda Davila and husband John, Alice Lozano and  husband Ernesto , Sylvia Rodgers & husband Randy, and Amelia Delgado and Rick Parra; brother, Carlos Delgado; sisters, Anita Rodriguez, Maggie Rodriguez, and Lupana Tobias; 17 grandchild; 31 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; and with many more other loving family and friends.

Visitation will begin from 2:30p.m. – 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at Los Angeles Funeral Home … 300 Cheatham St. … San Marcos, Texas.  Visitation will continue from 6:00pm – 9:00pm at St. John Catholic Church … 624 E. Hopkins … San Marcos with Recitation of Holy Rosary held at 7:00 p.m.   Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 6, 2018 at St. John Catholic Church …  Rev. Father John Boiko will officiate.  Interment will follow in San Juan Cemetery in Reedville, Texas.
