Obituary of Oscar Gaitan Rivera Jr.

Our beloved Oscar “Boy” Gaitan Rivera Jr., age 22, resident of Poteet was called by our Heavenly Father on Sunday, September 2, 2018.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandmother: Maria Gaitan Rivera.

He is survived by his mother, Betty Ann Rivera; Father, Oscar Gaitan Rivera Sr.; sisters, Norma Mendez, Victoria Marie Santiago and husband Dago, Maria Rivera, and Linda Rivera; aunts, Virginia Rodriguez, Margarita Jaquez, Sylvia Moreno, Mary Rivera, Emma Peveto, Mary Moreno, and Rosa Linda Tucar; uncles, Peter Rivera, Celestino Rivera Jr., and Gabriel S. Mendez Jr.; paternal grandfather, Celestino B. Rivera Sr.; maternal grandparents, Gabriel S. Sr. & Victoria Mendez; nieces, Annalicia, Layla, Savannah, Jessica, Sophia, and Stella; nephews, Fernando and David;  and with many more other loving family and friends.

Visitation will begin from 3:00p.m. – 9:00 p.m., Thursday, September 13, 2018 at Los Angeles Funeral Home … 300 Cheatham St. … San Marcos, Texas with Recitation of Holy Rosary held at 7:00 p.m.   Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 14, 2018 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church … 801 N. Burleson … Kyle, TX …  Rev. Father Miguel Duarte will officiate.  Interment will follow in San Juan Cemetery in Reedville, Texas.
