Obituary of Gustavo C. Delgado Sr.

Gustavo Cantu Delgado Sr., 83, of Kyle, Texas was called home to be with our Heavenly Father on September 30th, 2019. He was the husband of Gloria Delgado. They shared 64 loving years of marriage together. He worked as a painter his entire life.

He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Gustavo will be remembered by always having a Miller High Life or cigarette in hand. Gustavo will be greatly missed but never forgotten.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Antonio and Cruz Delgado and his siblings: Tomasa Ortiz, Emilia Tijerna, Consuelo Mata, Jesusa Rodriguez, Celestina Gonzales, Guadalupe Castillo, Amalia Villapando, Antonio Delgado, Ramon Delgado and Jose Delgado. 

He is survived and lovingly remembered by his wife, Gloria Delgado, children: Mary Rita Romero, Emelia Cisneros, Doris Delgado, Rosa Sepulveda, Rachel Delgado, Gustavo Delgado Jr., 23 grandchildren, 65 great grandchildren, 13 great-great grandchildren and his brother, Angel Delgado.

Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m.- 9:00pm, Friday, October  4, 2019 at the Los Angeles Funeral Home, 300 Cheatham St., San Marcos, Texas. with Recitation of Holy Rosary held at 7:00 p.m., Morning visitation will begin at 10:00am Saturday, October 5, 2019 with  Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church … 624 E. Hopkins … San Marcos, Texas  Rev. Father Jairo Lopez will officiate. Interment will follow at San Juan Cemetery in Reedville, Texas.
