Our beloved Eva R. Torres, age 78, resident of New Braunfels, Texas was called by our Heavenly Father on Thursday, January 2, 2020. She is preceded in death by her husband, Roman M. Torres; parents, Cleofas & Gregoria Ramirez; brother, Israel Ramirez; sisters; Carmen Ramirez and Cruz Beltran. Eva, daughter of Cleofas and Gregoria Garza Ramirez, was born July 31, 1941 in Hays County, Texas and lived in Comal County all her life. She was married to Roman Mendoza Torres on February 9, 1957 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Wimberley, Texas. They spent the next 59yrs. together. The last 50yrs. on the old HC Nelson Ranch near Hunter, Texas. All though small in size Eva, was a hard worker who helped her husband with the ranch chores while raising her two children and later caring for her grandchildren. She was also a gentle lady who was always cheerful. She was also a member of La Sociadad de la Buena Voluntad. She will be greatly missed by her many friends and family. She is survived by her daughter, Sonia T. Servin and husband Placido; son, Joe Torres; sisters, Delia Ozuna, Hortencia Prouty; and brother, Joe Ramierz; grandchildren, 6; great grandchildren, 4; and with other loving family and friends. Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m, Wednesday, January 8, 2020 with Recitation of Holy Rosary held at 10:00 am at the Los Angeles Funeral Home, 300 Cheatham St., San Marcos, Texas. Chapel Service will began at 11:00 a.m., Interment will follow at Hernandez Cemetery, in San Marcos, Texas.
